Short Term Therapy and Crisis Intervention
Not every psychological difficulty requires long-term treatment. At times, people may find themselves overwhelmed by a separation, bereavement, difficulties at work, physical illness, or other challenging life events.
In such situations, short-term psychotherapy can provide valuable support in understanding the current difficulties, developing new perspectives, and reconnecting with personal strengths and resources.
Short-term psychotherapy usually involves one session per week over a limited period of time. Together, we explore the factors contributing to your current distress and consider what changes may be helpful. In Germany, short-term treatment is typically preceded by an initial assessment phase and may comprise up to 24 sessions.
Crisis intervention can also help determine whether further psychotherapy would be beneficial and which therapeutic approach may be best suited to your individual circumstances.
